Whether you're retired or just out of the crib, there is always something for you to do in Playa de las Americas thanks to the many outdoor activities offered. Would you like to go water skiing or windsurfing? Maybe you want to see the whales and dolphins in their natural environment? Or just relax on a boat trip along the coast? Golf lovers will be in glory, because in the south of Tenerife you will find several golf courses. And the kids had never been easier, thanks to two fantastic water parks: the Siam Park, one of the biggest and best in Europe and Aqualand.
It is very easy to move from one place to another by public transport in Tenerife, Titsa is the name of the bus company. If you do not like the bus you can always choose a taxi. There is also the option to rent all kinds of wheels as: bicycles, motorcycles, cars etc ...
The superb quality of the beaches in the south of Tenerife makes them among the best in the Canary Islands also you have warm sea temperatures during most of the year. Playa de las Vistas, Playa Troya, Playa del camison, Playa del Duque, Playa de Torviscas and Playa de la Caleta are examples of excellent beaches to choose and they all have golden sands and crystal clear water. The sumptuous loungers lined up on the beaches and the elegant and lively streets are filled with restaurants and shops. For water sports the best beach is Playa de Torviscas or the harbour in las americas named puerto colon.

If you enjoy hiking ...

Despite its terrible name 'Barranco del Infierno', this luxurious green vegetation gorge is an oasis in the arid and desert landscape of southern Tenerife. It is the only place where you will find natural water.
It is a paradise for walkers and is popular as a way of the future for the entire hike (round trip) takes only about two hours and can be done before the strong afternoon sun. In addition, many parts of the trail are very down in the ravine at times.
The tour ends in a waterfall, not very spectacular but unexpected in a landscape so dry. It is situated in the village of Adeje.
